VIXSKY Privacy Policy
VIXSKY APP (the “App” or “Application”) is operated and provided by Guangzhou Weiken Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (“we,” “us,” “our,” or the “Company”). We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, transfer, and protect your personal information when you access or use the App and related services, and how you can access, update, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information and exercise other rights available to you under applicable law. This Privacy Policy applies to the services we provide through the App. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using the App. By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy; where consent is required under applicable law, we will obtain your consent separately. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use the App.
I. How We Collect and Use Your Information
1.1 Information You Provide to Us
We process your personal information in accordance with applicable law and this Privacy Policy. For example, when you register an account, we collect personal information you provide, such as your email address and phone number, and associate and store it under your account. If you choose to use third-party sharing or login features, we may receive information that you authorize the relevant third-party platform to share with us, such as third-party account identifiers, nicknames, and avatars. The specific information we receive depends on the third party’s authorization settings and your choices. You may also provide other information to us through the App, such as feedback content and images, videos, or audio recordings you upload.
With respect to log information, locally stored information, camera/photo/video/audio recording, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and read or modify storage access, we request such permissions or process such information only to the extent necessary to provide the functions described below and, where required by applicable law, with your consent. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information.
1.2 Purposes and Legal Bases for Information We Collect During Your Use of the Services
We may collect information about your use of the Services. The purposes, categories of information, and legal bases for such processing include:
1.2.1 When you use our Services, we automatically collect certain log information and store it in server logs or write it to your device’s external storage. For example, if the App experiences an error, exception, or crash, we may write error logs to external storage; you may choose whether to send them to us. This processing is used to diagnose faults, maintain service stability and security, and improve product performance. The applicable legal bases include our legitimate interests (ensuring the security and proper operation of the Services) and, where required by applicable law, your consent.
1.2.2 When you submit user feedback, update headset firmware, or connect to a previously connected device, we may request storage permission through a pop-up so that you can submit feedback from your photo album, store downloaded headset firmware files for updates, or more quickly connect to a previously connected device. We access or use this permission only to the extent necessary to provide the relevant function. You can manage or withdraw permissions in your device settings, but withdrawing them may prevent you from using the relevant functions. The legal bases for this processing are performance of the services you request, your consent (where applicable), or our legitimate interests.
1.2.3 When you bind a VIXSKY Bluetooth device, we collect your device model, device unique identifier, device MAC address, Bluetooth information, and similar information to provide the VIXSKY Bluetooth device binding function, maintain the connection, and ensure the device operates properly. The legal bases for this processing are performance of the services you request, your consent (where applicable), or our legitimate interests. We will not use such information for purposes unrelated to the foregoing unless we obtain your separate consent or as otherwise required by law.
1.2.4 When you use the VIXSKY product scanning feature, we may need to use your device's location permission to obtain your approximate location and, with your authorization, use cellular network, Wi-Fi, GPS, and/or Bluetooth information to help determine your location for the purpose of scanning nearby Bluetooth device information, so as to connect to VIXSKY devices more quickly and accurately.
1.2.5 When you use the voice assistant or AI-related features, we collect voice information you input through the microphone to recognize your commands and provide the corresponding services. If you use the voice assistant to make phone calls, we also collect your contacts information. We specifically note that such information only to the extent necessary to provide the above functions and will not use it for identification purposes or for any purpose unrelated to the voice assistant.
If you decline to provide microphone or contacts permission, you will not be able to use the voice assistant or phone call functions, but this will not affect your normal use of other VIXSKY services. You may withdraw the relevant permissions at any time in your device settings.
1.2.6 When you submit user feedback and choose to upload photos, or when you wish to change your profile picture, we request camera permission so that you can upload images by taking photos. We collect the images you upload or the photos you take solely for the purpose of recording and processing your feedback or updating your profile picture. Such information will not be used for any other purpose unrelated to the foregoing. You may manage camera permission in your device settings.
1.2.7 When VIXSKY detects a new version upon launch, or when a version update check is triggered within the App, we read the list of installed applications on your device so that you can select the corresponding app marketplace to complete the app update. We use this information only for version update purposes and will not use it for advertising, push marketing, or other unrelated purposes.
1.2.8 When you perform version detection, access firmware updates, or access the help list in the VIXSKY App, we use relevant third-party SDKs. We expressly state that we do not collect your IP address during this process.
1.2.9 To distinguish your device, ensure device uniqueness, improve service security, and maintain operational quality, we collect your device information, including IMEI, IMSI, Android ID, GUID, MAC address, information about applications you have installed, or information about running processes.
